holy crap... it all FIT :)
holy crap... it all FIT :)
Today was my moms wedding and when it was over I had to haul left over booze back to the house. All of that fit in the back of the car without having to move the front seats, had a passenger in the car with me and I still had a clear view out the back window
. This is the first time I've really attempted to pack it and I have to say I was surprised, considering all of that is liquid, the big cooler was full, and there is a lot of glass it was a lot of weight to drag around. I was expecting the car to feel bogged down and to struggle a bit but driving at my normal average pace with leaving a bit more fallowing distance then normal the car felt surprisingly normal. It didn't feel like I had a huge load of stuff in it.anyways...
Also a couple pics I snapped of the car about 2 weeks ago.
and a little update.... this stuff is at the body shop right now.
I've yet to see anyone do this put the rear piece is getting shaved, no more logo. The J's front grill is getting repainted, I was told it had a couple minor rock chips but apparently that means the clear coat shrunk and split on both sides, the clear is peeling off the top edge, its covered in rock chips and who ever painted it made no attempt to smooth it out or make it look like finished product, they just sprayed the fiberglass and called it a day without the proper prep work to make it look liek its surpossed to. I don't like the little scoop kinda thing but its as close as I could find to a plain looking grill, its not what I was looking for but its good enough.
Those 2 pieces will complete the look I'm after. Nice and clean, no stickers, no banners, no chrome H's, no fit logo, no ricer (uh I mean red
) emblems.... it'll be completely logoless, no emblems or brand designations anywhere.
I can't wiat for the call to come get my parts.
imagine if the cops pull u over?
-erm, [cops looks at the cargo space] you got any open containers?
-nope, its all fresh
-ill take your word for it, have a good night

-[walks away n talks to himself] like hell im checkin all that shit

I said everybody... that includes you, everyone to post in the thread so far got repped

And no offense but I really don't care if you if you like it or not (I know you said your kidding but the point is the same). I'm changing the things I want to change and making it look the way I want it to look. If others like it... cool, if not... well good thing I'm not modifying it to make them happy LOL no skin off my back.
That's cool that you were able to Fit all of that in the Fit. I should of taken pictures as well when I transported my 55 Gal Fish tank with the base and accesories. That's a cool idea about shaving the Logo off the back.
Hey man how are you getting the rear H and wiper hole shaved? I want to do that same thing without having to get the Seibon CF piece! Is it a bitch to take off that little section containing the rear H?
Thats gonna look great. I'd love to lose the big H front and rear also. That part on the left side of the grill in the pic, is that necessary for some reason, or is that just the design? To me it makes it look more busy than it needs to be. A nice uniform grill would be the way I go if I ever did something like this.

But with no big ol H's no one will believe you when you tell them it isn't an Aveo! JFWY You could always cut the little piece out of the grille and re-mold the edge, since you're having it painted anyway.
