So you think we can get away with 17" on a 2012? would the tire become so thin to prevent a good DD in the city with all the potholes? If it was just for looks it would be an easier decision. But my family rides in this car daily.
15s a no brainer for my pos dd. It's just a base. Super hot wheels are hard to resist. I like the 5 spokes of those. 2 tires for search button. Ha ha. I try too hard with wafflspeak. Hope mods catch it with a poop scoop. 2 tires to do that too.

Progress rear anti sway bar install

Progress Anti Sway Bar Install

Today I got my sway bar via the UPS guy.

I had to go to Canadian Tire and pick-up a few things first.

My fit did not come with a jack - thanks Honda - It doesn't have a spare in the trunk just a puncture repair kit.

I also purchased the Jack Stands and the anti-roll chummies. The ones to prevent the car from rolling forwards.

It was a straight up install no big surprises except the instruction provided by Progress say that I had to remove the rear springs but that is not true. I just used a flat head screw stick to move the rubber seal out of the way to drop in the bolts. It only affected one bolt.

I used the DIY Progress Rear Anti Sway Bar provided on FitFreak by Mole177

Good work on the sway bar. Use a wire brush to remove rust, then either high-zinc content paint or Amsoil anti-corrosion spray (that will have to be redone periodically). Tape the studs to keep paint or anti-corrosion spray off the threads.

MotoMaster 12V Programmable Air Compressor

My next little purchase.

Link:

MotoMaster 12V Programmable Air Compressor | Canadian Tire

Only one review (It's positive) so far but hey it wouldn't be the first time I waste my money.

Honda provided me with a crappy looking one in their flat repair kit. There is no spare in my 2012.

I like it because it has a digital readout, programmable and it's red to match my accessories.

Once I get it I plan on taking it to the Honda dealer to see how far off true calibration is.

The mud flaps and bug deflector are from my Honda dealer.

The red H emblems are a bit trickier to get. They are available everywhere on eBay of course but they are mostly cheap knock offs. I have all my suppliers in my work email I will send them to you tomorrow.

I like the way your Fit is transforming.Just wait until you get your Swifts and upgrade the tires.

You will love the handling even more because it totally changes this little car.
I have the Progress bar with Swifts and 205/50/16 Kumho Ecsta 4X on the stock 2012 sport wheels.

I considered the 195/55 but with the A/T I did not want to do anything to hurt acceleration.

I can see it now, you and your dogs winning best in show

RS emblem install on a 2012 Sport grill

I ordered the front RS emblem full knowing it would not fit properly on a 2012 Sport Grill.

The backing itself cannot be used because of the difference in the honeycombed shape of the grill. It simply will not fit back there without some serious hacking.

As well I recommend removing the grill for the install. On a 2012 Sport there is a scoop that directs air from the grill to the back of the engine bay where the air intake is. You will need to remove the air scoop (four screws) to install the emblem.

My solution was to use squares of an old mouse pad I had laying around with a washer. I could have fabricated a new backing plate but the screw holes on the emblem itself are at a 45 degree angle. The mouse pad material should hold up for a good long while and it wont damage the grill. A bonus is that they do not block the air flow to the air scoop.

I basically made some big rubber washers out of mouse pad material.

And here is what it looks like installed.

I can't believe how these little additions make my Fit so unique in Montreal. Down in California I am sure you must have to be very creative to stand out....In Asia? Forget it....my little Fit wouldn't stand a chance...Those Malaysian Fits are so damned awesome...

DIY Lower grill mesh protector

DIY Lower grill mesh protector

I used the DIY on the site to install a mesh to protect the AC condenser.

They are a ton of money to replace (the condenser that is. Somewhere around $700 plus) and it only cost me 10$ at the Home Depot to protect it for life!

And you know what's neat? it's held on by plastic tie-ties....you can't even tell.

A no brainer. I have had it on for a good 6 weeks now and only the smaller bugs get through. No rocks or other debris have made it past.

Dwalbert go with a 215/45. Its not too tall but should have a nice sidewall to protect the ride and your wheels, if you get 17's that is.

215/45 isn't too bad, I had 225/45/17 on my old Galant, as long as the tyre you choose is of high quality, it'll ride well.
