Sounds like a good plan. Give her a reboot in the springs...I imagine that's what most people do.

Got my mats in today. Just the front ones as the rear seats are always down because of the dogs.

First thing that had to go was the ridiculous Weather Tech brand logo badges.

I ordered these to take their place and plan on gluing them down with something useful like epoxy or even with something like "No More Nails".
I may also use rivets but will have to wait until they come in to make that decision.

Here are the badges I ordered:

Fabulous !!

Just got our 2012 Sport. Seeing yours has inspired many improvements. Gotta start small; how hard was the red steering wheel emblem to install? I've read that is a simple "glue over", is that right?

NO! and yes. The emblem does fit over the existing emblem but it will stick out..a lot. For best results you must remove the original emblem. It is held by no less that 12 little plastic nubs.

The original emblem is really in there in the event the airbag is deployed. The center cover will not fly out towards you but rather it is hinged at the top so it will rotate up and the bag underneath will deploy towards you. As a safety precaution Honda really really really wanted to make sure the emblem didn't end up in your chest...

So this aftermarket little accessory is a bit of a gamble...there is a chance that in the event of an air bag deployment this thing will end up in your chest....I call it the ninja star special.

Still if you are like me and you believe Honda went all over kill....

Grab a pair of pliers...grab the original emblem....pull on it.....then with the nubs exposed cut them off.....all 12 of them....with a sharp utility knife.

Then with a fresh...although marred/nicked surface (because no matter how careful you are you will slip and cut into your steering wheel cover....but no matter because it will be covered by the new emblem) you can then install the new JDM RED H inspired emblem....your choice!

As honest as I can get....

Oh and PS

further...all of these emblems are made from a single supplier in china no matter where it is packaged and mailed from. They are manufactured in a mold. When they break them off the mold...a small imperfection is created on the bottom of the emblem. It is very small. You can't really tell unless you really really really look close. I know it's there.

As honest as I can be.

If this is your First Fit.....Honest opinion? get a Rear Sway Bar from Progress (name of the company) it does wonders for the Fit. Planted...sturdy....safe feeling in turns and around big trucks and in hi winds...Even the most un-knowledgeable mechanically challenged person can do this.

Hello. Your car is really awesome! I just wanted to know if you can get the passenger airbag light at the dealers in Canada and how much it would be shipped to California. I like the Canadian one with the little man better than the USDM one that says passenger airbag LOL
Thanks

Ok well it can't be that expensive....$3 for airmail and a few dollars more for the part I figure less than $20 all in but have you thought of this?

Scosche ABLFTB 2009-Up Honda Fit Single Air Bag Light Cover

Still I can source the part for you and I will do the leg work simply because I respect a person who cares about details. If you don't like the blank look I will order it for you and send it to you and you can send me the money how you can.

Dwayne

Today I took out my Tri-bike out of retirement. It's time to make another run at Ironman. 9 months of training for Ironman Calgary starts tomorrow morning.

The sad part is that this thing has got more CF than my FIT...

I never noticed until just now when I uploaded the picture but I seem to like black with red accents...

Oh and it weighs less than one Enkei wheel

Installed my new mats today. I got the emblems in the mail.

In order for the mats not to move around I put a bunch of Velcro on the bottom. Worked like a champ

Yes! unfortunatly all 3 dealerships in Montreal are unable to get this part. The part number they have is the one from the USDM. Which after a bit of a discusion with the parts manager and a trip to the internet to prove to him that both parts were different...We came to the conclusion that if we need to replace this part it will be with a USDM one.

Sorry sucks!

You are moving fast on slicking out your little car.. It's looking very nice and I like that you are freely sharing how you have gone about doing what you have with other owners... I hope your dogs are doing well and are in top condition to show.. I am having to keep my wife's recently acquired 7 lb Havanese/Poodle mix from from driving my 60+lb Blue Heeler/Border Collie mix crazy..

Well funny you should mention my Henry...He came home today with my wife from Scotland. He was vying for the Triple Crown as he is a Canadian and American champion already. I am happy to report that he finished 4th. He hates flying and this is the last time he will ever be put to the the test. For me he is my number 1 along side my other bully Victoria who is 8 years old last month.

For the rest of their days they will go for big walks everyday in the Fit at the park as it should be. They and all other bullies I will have the honor of being parents of will never be judged again. There is more to life.

I have been a parent of 2 triple crown bulldogs and a parent of 14 bulldogs and I am happy to say that we are retired. I will adopt all bulldogs that come my way and we will go for our daily adventures in our Fit.

^ Do you have door sills? I just got a 2013 Sport and I can only find the oem ones. I came across the 2012 aftermarket ones but not sure if they will fit. Any info would be great!

Keep up the great work Dwayne. I haven't had time to post my diy projects. My only concern/regret is voiding my warranty. Therefore, I've only done cosmetic changes.
