T1R BMax coilovers for daily driving?
T1R BMax coilovers for daily driving?
So I've been checking out the few coilovers available for the Fit and the T1R's look the best. But before I buy them I just wanted to get some feedback from people currently running them on their daily driver.
I've had really stiff suspension setups on my last couple cars and I want to stay away from that. The spring rates seem decent at 6k/6k but in my past experience, valving can make as much of a difference in ride quality as spring rates.
So how do these compare to stock and say, the tanabe DF210s.
Also, how low can you go with these? I don't want to slam my car, but getting the tires even with the fenders would be about what I'm looking for. Thanks for any help.

You can easily get the car even with the tire height. I am using a KW setup and it's too much for NY streets. I need to raise the car alittle a hope that helps.
My main car is a Sub Outback LL bean. The ride quality is a beaut. My girl has the Forester. I complain how rough the ride is in that. Well, after driving my lowered Fit, her Forester feels like a serious upgrade.....kind of like the difference between her car and my Outback.
If the roads are smooth, no problem. With a seriously lowered car, there just seems like there isn't enough shock travel to overcome the lowered height effect of the coil spring. Just my 2 cents.

T1R coilovers
I love my T1R coilovers there great and alot of fun for a daily driver but i have to admit that the ride is stiffer from the T1R coils i had before. if you want pics just let me know PM me your email ill show yo uif you want
I had them on my Fit, but the g/f complained about the ride, so I had to get rid of them for something less aggressive. To me, it wasn't too bad considering the crappy roads we have up here. If you live in a nice area with nice streets, it shouldn't be an issue.
well i went ahead and ordered a set. my last daily driver was a 95 integra with 14k/16k spring rates and koni race valved shocks. i doubt these will be even close to how stiff those were. i'll give an update once I get them on.
Makes the car handle GREAT......but it is somewhat bone jarring on bumpy NYC roads. I think the tradeoff is worth it but my passengers don't.
I have it adjusted high enough that I can clear most speed bumps without scraping my Fujitsubo Power Getter's resonator too badly. It looks slightly lowered and I can always go lower if I really wanted to.
Doesn't help that I have the tires inflated to 40psi all around too.
