hopefully not a dumb queston about the rear springs

I was just reading in the camber section of the suspension thread and there was a guy on there that says when he installed his rear springs he left out the rubber peices for a lower lower! Wouldnt that make some noise movin around over bumps and stuff? or is that ok to do? Has anybody else doin that? THanks guys

springs could potentially move around during a full extension, but the
shock's limits is shorter than the spring so might be ok.

but the mounts are there for correct positioning and orientation. i would
not remove them from the car unless you're running coilovers that come
with new mounts (ie: spring seats)

Absolutely. In truth he really didn't gain enough added lowering to know it. Very good question.

If original springs had rubber bushings so should the aftermarket. In fact often we will get tygon tubing from Lowes to fit on aftermarket springs even if the stock didn't to be pretty sure on no clunking or sqeaking and by changing OD we have used that to even up the ride height across the axle. (After spring matching corner loads to springs and grinding wasn't enough.)
