Front end clearance

Has anyone had trouble pulling into certain driveways? Does the front end of your Fit scrape? I took a Fit for a test drive and pulled into my driveway. Ouch! It scraped big time! My 2009 is on order and I have to wait until the beginning of October to get my hands on it. In the meantime, I admit I'm buggin' on this low front end issue. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks!

If you drive a Sport, get used to it.

I have a like 5 inch bump at the bottom of my driveway that is supposed to help create like a drainway path for water and i can tell you unless I back out and pull in at the right angle I scratch up my lip or I am sure i will scratch my axle back.

No springs yet either got the eibach prokit on the way tho.

Might be parking on the street from now on lol......

Angle is the key. You won't even realize you're doing it eventually.

thanks for feedback!

Sure appreciate the responses to my concern over low front end/driveway clearance. Sounds like everyone here has the same issue, and have learned to live with it. I will do the same! Thanks!

Yes like everyone said angle is the key. plus our fits are not really that low, I work valet and see lambos, ferraris and porsches scrape all the time accept the ones whos owners know how 2 slow down and take it at an angle. have fun w/ your new fit.

also, when you are pulling into a driveway at an angle, take it one wheel at a time.

i just have to ask because i can't figure it out. how would you take the driveway with 2 wheels at a time while at an angle?

not possible. But what is possible is taking the two front (or two back) wheels one at a time and then take the other 2 wheels at the same time. Like go in with your front left wheel then the front right wheel then the two back wheels at the same time.

haha thanks that's what i was thinking. i didn't see how anybody would drive up a driveway at an angle and have to remind themselves to take it one wheel at a time.
