Brakes clicking after install

Just got done swapping out the brakes on my Fit with Brembo Blanks and Hawk HPS pads. I also changed the fluid and put in ATE super blue. I have a clicking sound when I press the pedal down. It happens around 15mph when slowing down from 35mph. I have triple checked everything.

Thoughts on what it can be?

Thanks.....

Just some questions:

Did you lube up the slider pins ?

Did you clean (very well) and lube where the pads sit ?

Do the pads fit in perfectly or are a little tight? If you had to force the pads in, they are too tight and need to be filed a bit.

Worse case scenario: Buy a honda caliper rebuilt kit (seals) or get some rebuilt calipers. That's what I did to fix the clicking on my old Integra.

Goodluck!

Good advise!

I know a lot of people just slap on their pads without clean & lube their caliper brackets & sliding pins, either they don't know about it or simply ignore about doing that.

I had two sets of hawk pads on my car. The HPS fits in no problem but the HP+ needs to be filed down a little bit. So u gotta watch out for that like lamyun said.

The slider pins are sealed in a rubber boot. The Fit brakes are not like the old Honda.

After putting the rotors on a lathe, it was found that they were shipped out warped already.

There's no clamp to clamp down the rubber boot though. Just like the calipers on the 00' EM1 I had before. They didn't really change anything on these calipers, it's just the same caliper that u can find on a EG6 or EG9.

And the sliding pins gets hella dirty after a year when I service my brakes again. I just wipe them clean & lube again.
