Turning rotors when changing pads
Mr. FitMaster, The,
I must write to say that you are right. I've been totally wrong in my thinking and truly have been a dumb derier. Your enlightened, in depth retort was so full of details and references that only the unclean masses could argue with you.
I will take my leave. I do not deserve to be in the presence of someone so talented and all knowing.

in ohio
Here in good old ohio, Ive been told by a mechanic, that ohio is using a road solution for ice, Its either cheaper then salt or a better product, something like it works at lower temps then salt. Anyway the man said that when this products get on the rotors it will start to rust them, along with rusting them pitting can also occur. I have almost 50,000 on my pads and rotors. I'm going to replace them myself and go with a better pad then the stock ones, I like better stopping performace, I will not be turning my rotors though. So I will up date this thread once I get my next big bill paid.
