Fit brakes

Does anyone know if any of the Honda Vehicles front brake pads are compatible with the FIT.. i Need to get some aftermarket brake pads for it. But I doubt that They have pads for it since the car is new to the market.

Same pads as other Hondas with 1513 capliers. Wether any Hondas sold in North America have these calipers I can't answer that. Pads from a compatible Honda would not offer improved performance.

Spoon, Endless, EBC greenstuff, Mugen, J's Racing, Bendix, Ferodo, Winmax and heaps of others. With over 1 million Jazzes/Fits sold worldwide since 2001 there are heaps of pads and parts.

I use 91 CRX Si brake pads wth a minor amount of backplate edge grinding - not on length - and since the CRX has a wide range of brake options I recommend them. I use Hawk Street/trank pads to excellent use on track at VIR and the street.

If you do serious braking the 91 CRX Si pads from Hawk and Performance Friction will fit with only a minimum of backplate grinding - none on pad - and are a tad short but you still get half deep in the upper 'notch' so heat expansion is good. we've put in 20 minutes worth of race track speeds with nothing but excellent braking from 100 mph repeatedly.
Better yet there is a complete range of performance pads available for the 91 CRX Si so you choose what you need. Prices are good too.

I had an experience with my old Integra were I bought some aftermarket pad's and went to get them installed and a tech said I should upgrade with some rotor's because most aftermarket pad's run a harder compound and there will be a loud griding on the stock rotor's.I ended up reading in a magazine or something of other people experiencing the griding also.Just something to consider.

Perhaps they may be the same but they didn't fit my Fit: too thick. And the length of 136.6 mm was a bit long tho they can be easily ground off. However, reducing thickness is a major problem as you would need a good surface grinder to yield a nice smooth straight surface. Grinding a little off the backplate is pretty easily done with a hand grinder - or even a hand file tho it might be more than the grinder's 15 minutes for all 4 pads. Hawk HPS pads work very well on the race track especially at the limits of a Fit.
And the cost is economical.
