Lowering with 17" alloy?

My Jazz has not been lowered but im thinking of getting new alloy which is 17" with lower suspension system. Is there any problem if i lower the car 2" with 17" alloy?

I've been running 205 40 17's, and now 215 40 17's (for autocross). I had the Skunk2 1.5" drop springs, and the car would rub some when turning and hitting a bump at the same time. I now use Swift 1.25" drop springs, and have no rub, unless it's a big bump and turn combo situation. I don't have any pictures with the 215's yet, but here are some pictures from last year's autocrosses:

I guess that you could drop it 2", but you would need to alter the fender's, and you would loose ride quality and real world handling.(IMO)

Check your wheel offset as well...you want +45 or higher for best fitment and no rubbing.
