KW issues.

Hi All,

i have recently install an KW V2 on my GD3.
however some knocking noice can be heard from the rear.
anyone here had similar problems before?

I had a similar issue and fixed it.

Have you grease up your suspension before putting it on? Also it could be a possible endlink issue as well. I suggest you go back there and torque everything to spec.

? there's no endlinks on the rear, and grease what up on your suspension?

I should have been clear I had this issue with my Z which has endlinks in the rear.

haha, well that doesn't really help him.

i'd check the rear springs and how they're seated (if they're hitting or knocking on anything), there isn't really much else that moves back there. springs, and dampers.

haha I guess but like you mention about how the springs are sitting he could at least retorque everything back there.

was everything installed correctly? where do you hear the knocking coming from?

thanks all,

yap i checked all installation was done properlly while the rear seems to sit firmly in place both the springs and absorber.

I'm gonna suggest something Texas Coyote and DiamondStarMonsters brought up...

Lift the Fit up until the tires are off the ground, then check to see of there's any noise.

Then there's the less obvious question... Are the things in your trunk secure? Spare tire, jack and tools?

Are the shocks bolt tighten to spec? Do you have a rear sway bar? Did you change to flat head bolts for the sway bar?
