Best performance struts

I think its time to swap out the stock struts with something a little more handling oriented. I currently have a rsb and swift springs. What struts are available for the GD3?

Only performance strut currently on the market for the GD3 is the Tokico HTS/D spec dampers. They run something like $1100 I believe. They WERE on sale for 1/2 that a few months ago but that already ended.

Chris at Redshift does seem to have a solution to fit a set of Koni yellow's onto the rear though and you can PM him to find out more.

That is pretty expensive for that I buy coilovers lol. I see KYB Gr-2 are available for the fit. I have those on my crx and have been very happy...

so are the Tokico "blues."

Once again... the ONLY adjustable performance strut still on the market, originally intended to fit a 2007-2008 GD3 Fit is the Tokico HTS. I put plenty of miles on my set and they were EXCELLENT. Still I wouldn't pay $$$$ for them, and I didn't.

If the group buy on the T1R coilovers isn't over you still might be able to get in on that for <$700ish

Would if I could! I actually got my set "used." One of the first sets into the US and less than 3K miles...

Haha well please keep me in mind if you ever come across another set for cheap. I've been wanting these for forever but the price is just ridiculous. I wish I'd just bought them during that sale a while back.

i'm trying to decide whether i want to put the swift/hts combo on, or sell them to fund the koni/eibach/swift setup...

Now that is a tough call...

I honestly am rather biased... I do not think that for Comfort+Looks+Function

That the Swift Sport Mach Springs + HTS Damper combo can be beat... It did everything and did it WELL. Just not as "low" and eventually not stiff enough for my racing needs...

The Redshift setup has EVERYTHING, but it means your going to adjust height low enough to effect ride quality, or select performance rated springs that effect ride quality etc.... BUT since I have not personally ridden in a Fit with Koni dampers, they may be able to soak up a lot of the rest...

CAN NOT WAIT till some one gets them on a car and reviews them!!!

AFAIK GD suspension will bolt to a GE but the shock and spring length on the GD is much shorter and ends up with a funky stance unless it's height adjustable. You will need to get springs and shocks for a GD because the GE spring length is too long to pair with GD shocks.

That is why you'll see people running GD coilovers on GEs because they can fix the weird rake by adjusting the height, not so on shock/spring unless you don't mind cutting springs

Yeah that's kinda where I'm at... I got a great deal on the hts and swifts and I think, realistically, that its going to be plenty for the sort of driving that I do on a regular basis...

Checking out the grass on the other side of that fence
