Another Question
I know its been asked, tires and offset... blah blah. Im good with offsets and wheel sizes and all that.
Heres my question. I finally found some SICK rims that I know no one will show up with at car meets or shows or even have on this site. Theyre old school and made in Japan.
Rims are 15x6.5 with 42mm offset. What Id like is a mean stance. So that gives me the idea of wide tires. But I dont want to go too wide because of rubbing.
My options and keep in mind ALL tires are different:
-205/50's
With this size tire the sidewall is .2 shorter than the OEM tire. If I was going 60mph on the speedo Id actually be traveling 59mph.
-215/50's
This is the perfect aftermarket tire size for the Fit. Everything is perfectly in spec besides diameter. OEM diameter is 23.4 the new tire is 23.5. Big poo.
-225/45's.
Im leaning towards this tire size.
Sidewall height, radius, diameter, circumference, and revs a mile are almost identical with 205/50/15's. And 205/50's is what everyone runs on these cars right?
However, all these specs DO NOT mean it wont rub. So if 225's are suppose to rub how much modifications are actually needed to get them to fit? I can do rolling the fenders but has anyone actually rolled Fit fenders? We dont have the best paint. Id go crazy if the paint cracked or chipped!!!
