Hey man...I am in the same boat too. I got some rims 16x7 with +40 offset that already had 215/45-16 tires mounted on two of them. I test mounted it and it only rubbed on the widest turn with hard acceleration. I am not on T1R springs though, but on Eibach Pro-Kits so the drop is less. I rolled the fenders in the front anyways and I'll get some real review after driving on them tomorrow.

I already have the camber bolts. I just didn't want to get an alignment yet so I havent but them on yet. I may get some 205s in the front. I'll still drive it around for a little while and see. The front only rubbed on hard bumps, but the extra wide tire may be killing my MPG! I'll see how bad it is in a few more days.

The front actually stopped rubbing on highspeed dips, but the rear is rubbing. I am not sure what it is rubbing, but I dont think it is the fender. You got any idea Mx6GT89? You said you just rolled your fenders and everything was good, right?

Looks very sexy, what tire size, any lower suspension, any rubbing with some heavy load in your car?
Happy Easter!

ive installed 16" rota jamgs on alot of fits. the only time that i've seen thse rub was when they were put on a 45 series tire. i usually recommend a 205/40/16 setup with these wheels. the cars were also lowered with tanabe df210 springs.

Now you got me all... the recommended tire for a 16x7 rim is 205/45/16 offset 42, can you please elaborate on why the 205/40/16 is a better choice than 205/45/16? And maybe some technical details please!
Thanks
Chris

The recommended tire size is a 205/45/16, I tried these on the HFP wheels, they work fine. However, when I did a 205/45/16 on the Rota Jmags, the wheels would rub in the rear with passengers loaded into the car. Therefore, on every Fit that I lower, I use a 205/40/16 tire to eliminate that rubbing issue. Not to mention, tires for the size 205/40/16 are more available/cheaper than the 205/45/16.

Good idea. I think ill use 205/40/16 when I get the Fit to avoid rubbing.

At last photo of Fit/Jazz on J-Mag. Thank you Alex. I orderd J-Mags on my imagination (couldnt find photo anywhere) and now I see, it was a good choice. If you have more photo to post, pls do.

N.B. "Hyper Rev" recomends: 185/55-15 ; 195/45-16 ; 205/40-17

205/45/16 on 16x7 Rota JMags, in your particular case rubbing with stock or lower suspension?
Thanks a lot.
Chris
