If i run rims with out TPMS ?
A computer fix seems to be the only possibility. Thanks to another member sending me the 07 electrical schematics, I compared it to the 08 and identified most of the wires in the gauge cluster harness. There were 2 that I could not identify but neither was for the TPMS that I could tell.
So that means it's ran by the computer along with several other warning lights.

I spent $10 dismounting the tires off of my stock wheels. They removed the TPMS with it. It's an interesting little device. It looks like a little reflector stuck to the valve stem. I'm going to have them installed when I get new tires + ballance for my aftermarket wheels. I don't know if they have to be recalibrated though. I'll probably let you guys know the result in 2 months or whenever I finish wearing these tires out.... uhh... assuming that I don't forget about this thread. LOL
its a sensor.. it reads a difference in tire pressure. I run 40lbs in mine no problems. When a oddy went low light came on.. I added air drove 2 blaocks light went off.. when the light came on agaon 3 days later i added air and it went off again.. i had the tire repaired and everything is great..
Maybe resetting the maintenence minder resets it on the fit....

PVC pipe trick sensor?
I was thinking of making a pvc cylinder to pressurize and put the tpms sensor in to trick the computer. I was planning on putting it right above the strut tower . Has anyone else tried this? I think it could work.
