HFP wheels - Spacers?

I have a brand new set of HFP wheels that im going to put on when the weather gets nicer. The car is'nt getting lowered rite now as ym dad owns the car and he said its a no go. I was wondering what size tire will make them look a little fatter and fill the wheel gap more and has anyone run spacers in the back with these to make them more flush? Will it rub? What kind of spacers do I need.

Thanks for the help!!

I believe the HFP wheels are 55 offset. If you running stock wheel studs then 5mm is the max thickness you can run for spacers. With 5mm spacers you won't have to worry about rubbing.

Well extended studs arent very expensive and I know how to put them on. But has anyone run spacers with there HFP wheels? Does it look good?

You can judge for yourself, just remove wheels on one side, put 3/8" stack of washers on all 8 studs, snug down (do not over tighten) lug nuts.

That is for visual only DO NOT DRIVE THE CAR LIKE THAT!

Also worth mentioning, studs are not so easy on a Fit! https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/gene...-nut-stud.html

If you do go with spacers try to use ones with the lip to fit into the concentric center bore of your wheels. H & R for example makes this type.

^ He's talking about hubcentric spacers.

If you running the HFP then get extended studs. Use at least 15mm spacers so you can at least push the wheels out to a 40 offset. Lower then 40 offset even with the stock suspension you might have some rubbing. You could fix that with some work on the fenders.

It's my dad that wont let me lower it. He insists it will void the warranty i've tried to explain to him that its not the case but until the warranty is up or I own the pink slip I can't do springs. I do however plan to try and wear him down once the nice weather comes around. He has a lotus espirit for his weekend car i think he knows why going low is a good thing!

yeah, but looks like the H&R ones you have to go 30MM which would put your wheels out an insane amount. You could prolly get a machine shop to make you steel ones and maybe get down to 20MM. Not sure

sorry for bumping this old thread but i might be getting thses HFP wheels for my '12 model. Stockies are 16x6 +53 offset and these are 16x6.5 +55 offset

Now thing is im lowered on BC coils and not sure if i will have rubbing issues on the suspension side since it will be closer already. Any thoughts?

other infos:
- dropped around 1.5 finger gap front and 2 finger gap rear
- -1.2 camber front

*also have 5mm spacers for the rear currently and thinking if i will have isues without them, should i put some in front as well? and is it safe to just put on those slap on spacers?

lastly, i'll be using the stock tires of 185/55/16 at the moment and planning to run either 195/50 or 205/50 when it wears out... any issues you thinking of?

Thanks in advance!

slapped on 5mm spacers front and rear just to be sure that there will be no rubbing on the suspension side. Also to poke it out a bit
