Need help with offset!

So, Ive bought my tw 2010 fit sport for about 3 weeks now and I have been looking around for new wheels..

Heres my situation...I will be sitting on megan coilovers pretty soon and i was wondering if i should go 15's or 16's most likely X7. Ive been searching around and saw that some people run +40 or less and some say +45 at least. I want to look at least flush with the fenders (I might consider rolling a bit if needed).

Also, any suggestions on styles of wheels? I am on a pretty tight budget (350-500 max).

Oh, and one more thing...what size tires should i run?

Any input would be appreciated.

your good if you run a +38 or more without very much rubbing. for a 15x7 i would use a 205/50/15 and for a 16x7 a 205/45/16

A good wheel in that 300-500 range is the Buddy club P1, other wise it looks like a good choice for you will be Rota/drag/xxr etc

Thats a pretty good price range. I would go with 16's. i think 15's will look too small. 205/45 is good, just like chris said.

how much do you plan to drop your Fit after you get the megan coilovers? a 15x7 +40 wheel on 205/50/15's will rub with even a mild 2 inch drop. any advice without more information is just speculation. although, you're going to have to expect to roll your fenders if you plan on running wider wheels with lower offsets. the question you should be asking is how much rolling/pulling will you need to save your sidewalls

you can contact jlb and you can always work out a package deal andd ask for anything in particular, they're REALLY helpful, either through email or phone... they're located in corona, CA.

16x7 +40 is fine with the tire spec that chris mentioned (205/45/16) but you will still have to roll your fenders. how low and how much camber you're able to add (front wheels only) will dictate how much rolling/pulling you'll have to do to the fenders.

i've run both 15x7+40 rota slips on 205/50/15 falken ziex and 16x7+40 rota j-mags on 205/45/16 reiken raptor tires. both wheel set-ups rubbed when i was fairly low on skunk2 pro-c's. all i needed was a light fender roll and -1.5 degrees of camber on the front wheels to avoid rubbing.

i have 15x7 +48 wrapped in 205/50/15 azenis and it rubbed the front fender clips on hard bumps/turns. of course, our suspension and ride height makes a difference, so maybe that's why you had no rubs when i did.

be prepared to have to do something if it rubs, even if it's minor like removing the clips and using zipties.
