Anybody been having a problem with rocks getting stuck in between your front calipers and rotors and making loud obnoxious noise? I've had my Fit for 4 months now and it's happened 5 times. Maybe it's just me, my alley is under construction.

 

Is it between the caliper and rotor or between the dust shield and rotor?

 

I don't know...I take off the wheel and it falls off. Or another way I found is to floor it when I go over speed bumps, that works sometimes too.

 

I had that problem with every Civic I've owned, until I had my driveway paved. It wouldn't surprise me to have it happen with the Fit.

Another Fit owner on another board had the same problem. It turns out her brake dust shield had been bent a little, which was causing the rubbing noise. If you regularly go over speed bumps or over gravel, yours could have become a little bent, which is causing more stones to become trapped, than usual.
