6.5" at 38mm= 15mm MORE Inner clearance and EXTEND an extra 15mm

The math makes sense. I had 16"x7" 38mm with 195-50-16s with stock springs that would scrape the front fender when cornering and in the back and front on bumps... I would imagine that if I had problems with that setup on a GD3 there would be a problem with 205-50-16s on 16x6.5 on a GE since that is the tire size that has been mentioned the most...

No you have to take in to account the size of the wheel too. Running a thinner wheel lets you run lower offset wheels.

That is quite obvious to anyone and hasn't been disputed...

Last question

Now that i am 99% decided on +45mm, rubbing being a non issue.

I have asked the same question to Goobers in another thread, he hasn't replied in a while, so i thought i'd ask here if someone picks it up.

I am almost there ..... can't wait to take a 6hr trip in that car once i get this done.

What springs or measurements will give me the 1 finger gap front and back or a 2 finger gap rear.

I'm thinking eibachs so far .... they are F1.2" R1.4"

Also contemplating Teins F1.6" R1.6"

Hey, i was talking to a guy from JDM and they sell Teins and eibachs. I don't get it, on ebay they are 1.2" 1.4" but from JDM they are 1" 1.5". Why do they differ so much ???. The 1.5" R might lower the rear more than the front ? maybe.

So, Goobers who has the exact same settings as you and me described

205/50/16 +43 offset with 1.2"F 1.0"R and he rubs

Now, my question is .... you don't mind the occasional rubbing ? or you will adjust camber ?? or you believe it won't rub for you ?

Well on my E30 BMW I rub on hard bumps and it really isn't that bad. As long as your not rubbing regularly and damaging your tires i wouldn't worry about it. Camber bolts are cheap insurance against rubbing though. Definitely install them if your going for s. Techs.

Ok, now am gonna step into the unknown.

What are those camber bolts , how much they cost and fitting and how do they prevent this 2mm rub ?

Won't go s tech, been reading around and with stoke struts i rather stick with something mild. I'll consider lower after the struts are worn out and googling tein vs eibachs was like a 10:4 ratio in favor of eibachs when it comes to springs.

Camber bolts are used to induce positive or negative camber (you need negative).

Eibach Recommended Align. Kit
They cost $26

Then out of nowhere you read something like this:

"Before I got the 15x7's I was running 16x7 +38 205/50 and would only rub fully loaded, this combo still works just need to be careful not to take tight corners too fast, but whats the fun in that!"

He was +38 and only rubbed fully loaded ....... geez, so many different feedbacks it's confoosing

Go with the majority. Most people have little to no trouble with 43-45.

Not a big deal at all . I thought this was gonna cost hundreds and requires some serious tweaking. Not bad at all .... Good to know.

Now i'm considering the +43 again If ever it rubs, then i'll get those camber bolts. Hmmmmmm, everytime i seem to come close to a decision, something comes in the way

Good learning curve. Thanks again for the help bro, really appreciate it.
