Painting Rims

So I've got a set of NT03's and I am in the process right now of prepping them for paint. I've got two questions that I wanted to ask. What kind of primer, paint and clear should I use? (Paint gun, not rattle can) And also how much of the rim should be painted? (The entire rim every nook and cranny or just the front/face up to the bead and the inner barrel leaving out the portion thats filled with air)

Thanks in advance guys!

Ive always used rattlecans for the cheapness and good results when applied correctly.

If the rims are scratched up use a filler primer

wet sand the rims until everything looks smooth

then I just pick a color and texture and away I go.

I would tape off the tire itself, and use a brush to clean every nook and cranny that you can see.

I wouldnt worry about the back of the rim unless the rim design allows you to see the inside edge

just remember prep is the name of the game. you should spend about 3 times longer getting the rim ready to paint than it actually takes to shoot it. the stage RIGHT BEFORE you paint, make sure you use some sort of paint prep, like acetone, then I would still go over it with a tack cloth. You can always go back and wet sand imperfections out, but it's a lot easier to stop them in the first place.
