Will they fit my FIT?

I have 2 sets of snow tires sitting in my shed from my old civic. I wondering if they will fit on my fit without rubbing or causing major problems with speedo.

The snow tire sizes are:
195/60 - R14
185/70 - R14

Any info on this would be great. Don't want to purchase new snow tires if I don't need to.

Thanks,
DaGint

this will give you a read out on how much the speedo will be.
as for will they rub?they won't if you use the Fit steel wheels.

but if you have to choose, go with the 195/65r14 tires

The 195/60R14 is the best size you have. The 185/70R14 is too tall.

similar question

I have some snow tires (no rims) that I bought for my 98 Honda Civic two years ago. Now I have a 2007 Fit LX, and am wondering if I can use those snow tires or if I need to get new ones. The old ones are 185/65 r14

Anyone know?

Hi there,
My co-worker is selling his winter tires 195/70-14. Will these tires fit my 2007/Sport? Thanks.

The 195/70R14 is way too tall.
Sorry,

185/70R14 for 2009 Honda Fit?

Hi there,

Will a set of 185/70R14 snow tires from a 2003 Civic fit on a 2009 Honda Fit? The original wheels are 175/65R15.

And how much effect on the speedo/odometer?

Thanks.

Sorry it's a 2009 Honda Fit Base, so the original tire is 175/65R15

The tire came off a 2003 Civic DX Coupe.

The wheels work but the tires are going to be 1.3" taller than stock. You can end up with rubbing in the wheel well.

I found this topic using a Google search, and felt the need to register and post, just in case someone else stumbles upon it in the same way. I drive a 2008 Fit, and always run 185/70/14. Both my winter wheels(Blizzaks) and all-seasons(Falken touring) are 185/70/14. I have never once had an issue with clearance/rubbing. In hard cornering, over bumps, over bumps at higher speeds(such as construction on highways).

So unless Jim knows something I don't, 70 is not too tall.

I would not recommend the 185/70R14. They are about 1.3" taller than stock and would throw off the speedometer, odometer and gear ratio. I would think they can also rub in the wheel well.
