is there any problem of lowering?

right now I have HFP rims with 205/45R16 tires

I am planing to install H&R lowering spring, will there be any problem?

speedbumps grinding the underside - I have a Fujitsubo Power Getter cat back and Skunk2 Springs and sometimes the resonator scrapes.

the frontlip of a Sport will scrape depending on the approach angle

wondering how long the stock shocks and struts will hold out with my daily commute from Long Island to NYC.

Whenever lowering your suspension there is risk for rubbing.

Ask your vendor if the H&R springs will rub with your HFP rims (find out the dimensions and offset of the wheel to report to them).

Look at the current clearance you have now using stock springs. Figure out how much drop you will get and imagine how low you will go. Does it look close? If so then with a load of passengers you might get some rubbing. The 205mm tires are somewhat wide.

You can also ask Jim@tirerack.com about fitment in this situation.

As long as the wheel and tire tuck into the wheel well now you should be fine. The ground clearance is always a problem but you just have to drive a little more carefully. Like WAVE stated speed bumps and curbs are the main thing.

as with any change in suspension, you'll also want to have an alignment shop take a look at it. i made the mistake of thinking my car looked aligned, only to find out that 6 months later, i had no more rubber on the edges of my tires.

i think that depends on how big the drop is. if you do too low, the front will bottom out quite a lot.
