GD3 stock height, best offset and tire size for flushness?

Take mercy on me fellas. I've been searching and most of the posts I've found regarding wheel and tire upgrades revolved around lowered fit's.

I read that 15x6.5 with +38 offset and 190/55/15 (iirc) was ideal for a mild drop....but I'm not wanting to drop the car...it will be a daily driver with comfort being more important than scraping pavement

I'm looking at 2 style of wheels from rota and am not sure on what offset to get.

1.) Rota jmags in 15x7 e40
2.) Rota grids (not sure which) 15x7 e+35 to +40

For a non-dropped GD3, what offset will get the wheel and tire closest to flush and not rub at all?

Second question would be tire size? 190/50 / 195/50 or 55?

I know this has been asked, I just can't find the thread.

Thanks fellas.

Looks like a better wheel size might be 15x6.5 with an offset of +40 or even +42.

Neither wheel above comes with that offset, but rota slipstreams do I guess.

15x7 +40mm 195/50/15's might work on non-lowered GD3's.

I picked up a set of Konig Lightspeed 15x6.5 +38 rims for my GD3 (stock suspension) as I found a good deal on them. The rims are pretty flush.

They came with a set of worn down 205/50R15 RE-11s which are pretty wide tires - 8.4" section width / 7.6" section width. The tires probably extend out past the front fenders by a fraction of an inch.

I was kind of expecting them to rub but no rubbing at all with three people in the car.

Not sure what tires I'll put on them but it'll probably be some 195/50s or wide 185/55s.

With 15x7 you'd probably want to be at least +40, if not more in the +42~45 range.
