Wow its great to see all the interest in the scoop. I've sent it out for one more test fit, just in case there needs to be any tweaking of the part, but I should have the production mold ready very soon.

I'm having a little trouble getting set up as a merchant but as soon as I get that worked out I'll be not only offering this part but also some overlays of interior trim and fog light housings. Also I'm already getting started on the next project which is a rear garnish that will be available with and w/o logo and wiper and available in various carbon and glass. Further info will be posted on a separate thread as progress is made.

Thanks again for all the interest and I'll let everyone know when I start producing parts.

also if possible, you should make some out of frp. its better than fiberglass but im not sure what process is used to make frp and i dont know your limitations.

 

isn't that how all fiberglass/carbon-fiber final products for cars are.

The plastic in FRP is the epoxy, no? or am I missing something, I assumed that the resin was plastic that was throughout the fiber to reinforce it...

explain a bit more about FRP, since wikipedia isn't that helpful about the topic.

 

frp is fiber reinforced plastic. just plastic with fibers imbedded into it to make it stronger.

 

pics of it on the car, this thing is such a nice piece. a little more tweaks and its done.
