I was messing around under the hood today and I was thinking to myself, wow someone should make a scoop that fits into this piece. I come on the forums and there's a month old thread about it!

I also think taking that one piece you made that just replaces the cover and make it the same mesh that's in front of the scoop. I'd be in for one of those instead of the scoop if you did that.

yea id like an eta aswell. and this scoop is ideal for a turbo setup. the air is directed almost perfectly to the turbo. also, the air filter is on that side so it works out well. i cant wait to get one of these.

 

I know everyone is anxious for this part and honestly the response has been far more than I was expecting. The last part (red carbon kevlar) that was test fitted by George02 still needed a little tweaking to get the fit right and I've been overloaded with other work but I am making the changes this week and barring anything drastic I will be shooting for next week to start making a couple fiberglass piece. If the first couple fiberglass ones work out I'll also work on the carbon ones.

Carbon Cowl Cover $45.00 (available in 2x2, 1x1, yellow black, red black, and silver.
Fiberglass Cowl Scoop $78.00 (only available as gel coated fiberglass)
Carbon Cowl Scoop $98.00 (available in 2x2, 1x1, yellow black, red black)
Prices include USPS shipping within the US.

I will be ordering some blue black carbon kevlar soon and will make this available as well.

When the parts are available I would like to Paypal invoice each person so will PM asking for an e-mail address where the invoice may be sent. If for some reason this wont work out other arrangements can be made.

The only other hurdle I'm still working with is becoming a site vendor. I have been working on this for many weeks now and am getting no response so I hope this will work out soon, otherwise there may be problems in following through with the GB.

 

For the scoop ... what does the yellow black and red black look like? Is there going to be just a black black?

 

Yes the 2x2 twill and 1x1 plain weave are straight carbon and the colored cloth is carbon kevlar.

 

Any chance of posting NEW pics of the different designs?
