I'm #24 on the list and if I got a PM I must have missed it.

I asked for a scoop in yellow-black, but if you're not planning on making those, I'll take a plain black or carbon.

please pm me if/when you have one available.

thank you,

ed

Thumbs up

I got my matte black painted scoop in the mail. Fitment is great. I still plan on making an insert or something as I don't entirely trust that prolonged exposure to water in the engine bay is good.

A couple of pics. Pay no mind to the dirt on the car or the scoop....

This shows how well it blends in. Yeah, I know that I'm 4x4ing and yes those are Fitcapo's old rims.

I apologize again to everyone waiting for the next order of carbon scoops. I’ve had a load of GTR parts that I’ve been trying to finish along with my usual orders and I have fallen behind. I got most of the GTR parts sent out and have a couple BMW diffusers to finish and I will definitely be working in some scoops in 2x2 and 1x1, oh and a yellow carbon kevlar too.

I've got a couple scoops going out this week and will be PMing a few others for ones that I'm finishing up, but I've made a couple extras out of different materials and since these are not for anyone specific they are available to the first to confirm interest.

This one is carbon basalt. I really like this material and though it doesn't show up well with the flash, the basalt is a very deep brown, actually I would call it a root beer color. for the most part it looks like regular 2x2 twill only with a little variation in color when the sun hits it.

And this part was made in 8 harness satin weave. I typically use this material for extra strength but do like the weave pattern too. At least it's something different.

How do you remove the (existing) cowl cover? Seems easy enough, but I don't want to manhandle it and break/bend something. Thanks.

pop the hood, remove the thin molding that is con the cowl just a little past the vent, pop the vent plate up, place scoop in , reapply the molding, shut hood and your done.
