any chance you will be doing dry carbon?

 

Not real 'dry carbon' because that typically refers to prepreg which requires and autoclave to cure, but no problem doing a surface finish that resembles 'dry'. It doesn't show up will with the flash but you can see the difference in the first two compared to the one in the back.

well i might just have to order a new one with the dry carbon.... is that a 1x1 or 2x2?

i am waiting on a carbon hood so i will order according to whatever that is.

 

The two in the foreground are 2x2 and the one in the back (glossy one) is 1x1. Just post of picture of your hood and I can tell you what it is.

Oh yes, I'll keep selling these as long as there are customers.
The one in back is 1x1 or plain weave. It is sold but I'll be making more.

Just wanted to let those who have PM'ed know that I'm about half way finished with the latest batch of scoops and will be able to start sending some out on Monday. Also I'm trying to make a few extra which will be posted in the parts for sale thread in the 'merchant' area.

I'm still checking to see if the two carbon parts are taken but for now it looks like I have a few extras for sale.
I'm making more carbon parts this week and will be making a 4x4 carbon part with some material I got for another project.
