Rogue Carbon Cowl Scoop and Cowl Cover interest
#482
Any further word on this? I like it the way it is now, personally, but I also like the simple symetrical version in the sketch. Either way, if a few of these got produced in carbon fiber, I would love to have one. Waiting patiently.....

Sup BG, If I had a GE I probably would not change anything on that cowl, I think it's great as is..
If I were to possibly alter the prototype it would be to make the left side of it for uniform with the other side, in other words it would not be just suddenly rounded on one end, but a gradual slope like the right side of the scoop.
I did a couple 5min. sketches of this idea. Sorry for the notebook paperbut that's all I had while waiting in the doctors ofc for my daughter
Anywho....
Come on GE member's now is the time to start laying out ideas that you may want incorporated into the new scoop design..... It will make it a lot easier for Rogue to complete a piece that will be satisfactory for all of the GE members.

I haven't been posting lately so first off I would really like to thank Vinnymac for all he has put into these projects, both interest in the GD scoop and reviving interest in the GE.
Over the last couple weeks I've modified the original prototype a bit to try to 'smooth out' the flow of the lines. I've also started a second prototype that I'm hoping will come out a little more like Vinny's sketch. I'll try to finish up both of these prototypes this week and post a couple pics. Keep in mind I don't have a car to set them on for the pics but it will at least give you an idea of where it's going and if get a design concept going again I'll meet up with an owner to iron out the details.

I have been doing work on this project and have a couple new designs prototyped. Keep in mind that these are still in the design stage and the next step is to try to fit them to a car so any needed adjustments can be made. The final part will of course have a bottom piece, screen mesh, and be the whole complete unit.
I'll try to get some pics on a car soon.

The scoop for the GD (first gen) Fit is available. The one I'm working on is for the GE. I'm trying to set up a meet with a nearby Fit owner and as soon as we accomplish that I'm hoping the GE part can go into production.
