Yeah, possibilities are endless with the static decals! They do stick quite well so I have no worries about it's survival through a Canadian winter. I also did not want to place it on any windows since I have to scrape daily! I think the placement by the license plate is ideal though I may change my mind, down the road.

Cutting took a bit of time (likely you're right, around 15 mins) for the mini only due to all the spikes and since I'm very fussy. I just like how it looks without the white background so it is an option for folks out there who want a "cleaner" look, which you'd get anyways with the "cut-out" type (option #3).

Shh...trying to forget about how the "off" placement of my emblem! Oh well, no complaints since the dealership did this for me, free of charge....

Good cutting job on the 2.5". How long did that take you? 15 mins?

Blue dot logo looks great too. You're right that they placed it a bit far to the left.

There really has to be at least some white background behind the PufferFit due to peeling/tearing considerations. If the PufferFit wasn't so spiky it could have no background.

That's ok. I understand why there has to be a background color and didn't mind cutting out the decal. Wasn't that much work and I really like the end result.

It looks fantastic!!! What did you put the Pufferfit decal on to cut it out (after having the problem with the wax paper)?

Thanks. Yeah, it really is very nice. CrystalFiveMT send a 5.5" static and a 2.5" static to me on 1 sheet of "special" waxy white paper (not usual wax paper, as I can sadly attest to). So I just moved the small one as much to one side as I could and had enough of the special paper to use as a support while cutting him out. Not sure what I'll do with my next order since I'll be quite paranoid of whate "support medium" to use....

CrystalFiveMT photoshopped what a silver cut decal (option #3) would look like on my car so here you go (in this case, mouth and grille area have solid coloring):

Another option is to have this JUST be all lines, with no solid colored mouth and grill area, as shown here:

Needless to say, I'm finalizing order #2 with him right now! Don't want to miss the boat since we never know when CrystalFiveMT will close up shop. Guess it will depend upon interest shown and number of sales so don't miss out! These would make a great Christmas gift for a Fit owner too....just saying (and no, I don't get anything from these sales).

More examples, thanks to CrystalFiveMT's Photoshoping skills! Here's what the cut decal would look like on my car, in orange or blue:

Yes, I prefer the non-filled mouth and grille. Since it's not my preference that matters here I left it filled.

Oh but ditto here! I never really looked at the cut version since I didn't think I'd like it. Well, that is until you kindly provided a Photoshoped version of the silver decal on my own car! It really does look better with JUST lines, no solid colored areas. WOW. Altering my order now....

That silver outlined one with no solid color mouth and grille area sure looks nice on the orange fit! BTW, how do you wash your Fit in the winter with the freezing temps and all that snow....? It looks really clean and shiny

Not to get off topic here, but I find it amusing how there are GD3 owners who swapped their badges for the GE8 all capitalized Fit and now we have someone swapping their GE8 badge for a "vintage" GD3 one. Pretty cool

Anyway, decals look like fun!

I had no plans to get an outline only (cut decal) but after CrystalFiveMT Photoshoped the silver on my car, WOW! My order is in.

So far it's been quite mild here in Sudbury. I only worry about washing when it hits around -20 Celcius. For now, just going through a touchless car wash once per week to get the salt off.

Just sharing but Sudbury got 12 cm of snow overnight, we expect another 10-15 cm throughout today and a second "Alberta clipper" is set to steam through this Wednesday (another 10-20 cm). Roads weren't plowed this morning so I can well appreciate the extreme traction my Nokian Hakka tires provide AND how low that freaken front bumper is! I basically plowed my street. Oh well, I did make it (usual drive time 45 mins...took 1.5 hours since 2 snow plows driving in tandem were clearing the roads so 40 km/hr max vs. usual 90 km/hr) so I can attest that the '09 Fit IS suitable for extreme winter conditions WITH great winter tires....

Is the Fit's front airdam lower than your Mazda's? I would think it's pretty close.

Holy $*&^@#%, are you sure you're not one of Honda's engineers? I bet you don't know the Fit's wheelbase off-hand though, hehe.

98.5" (2500 mm)... didn't know that off-hand though Oh and my Mazda3 cargo space, rear seats up or down was 6" longer than in my Fit. Surprisingly, anything and everything I want to fit in my Fit , well "fits"! That car is just plain magic, obviously...

We're really getting OT here, but what the hell. Yesterday I sat in a new Scion XD and it has way less room in any dimension than the Fit. No headroom, and when I sat in back, no legroom and when I opened the hatch, the room was shallow and short.
