Skunk2 is junk???? Thought they are pretty respected. I have their shift knob and love it. Granted it's hard to screw up a shift knob but the Skunk2 weighted is LEGIT. That's neither here nor there. Like someone mentioned any suspension will go after awhile, even if you payed $2k for it. The auto world is literally littered with drastically overpriced parts and when you get into coilovers you really see that demonstrated. Like I said my brother has Raceland coils on his BMW and I've driven it and while it's a little stiffer than stock, it is not harsh at all, and his car is almost on the ground. I think Raceland simply makes a good product at a good price. I would buy them in a heartbeat for my Fit at 300 some bucks. People have argued through this thread about longevity and strength of the welds blah blah blah. Only way to know if these are truly inferior to say Tein or Buddy Club would be to do a side by side strength test...period.

Anyway, I guess we could all get back on the bandwagon of emailing Raceland until they say they're developing some coils for our car. I don't know how much money they would have to put into developing them but I'm almost positive it would be well worth it. SO MANY people on this forum would jump at this product if they actually made it.

You've never been within 5 miles of a quality car part have you?

Riceland is shit.
Tein (below the Monoflex) is shit.
Skunk2 is shit.
Buddy Club is close to.....shit.

Most 'JDM' coilovers are......shit.

I'm thinking that any coilovers that are limited in travel are going to screw up the dampers, especially when the springs are progressive wound, preloaded and the dampers are set at the maximum setting for stiffness..... I have Buddy Club N+ coil overs on my car, but the way I have them set up for driving on a variety road surfaces I would probably be able to get by with a set of Raceland coil overs...

Well, the response I just got...

"We do not yet have plans to develop a kit for the Fit as requests thus far have been few. With that said, I will have your request noted for future consideration. Keep up to date on our decision and progress by following us on Facebook or Twitter. You can also sign up for your newsletter for updates."

A kind response, though not quite what I was hoping for. A good company with nice employees I'm sure, but it's all business. I just wonder about all the other aftermarket companies that make coilovers for the fit. Was it really an outcry of potential customers that got them to design and manufacture, or did they just make it knowing that they already had a nice customer base and were sure to sell the product for what is certainly a popular car?

WHO CARES!?

The Fit has a number of great suspension options, people are just too cheap to go out and pay for them.

HKS
KW
AMR
J's Racing
Spoon
Mugen
That one I linked in JC's thread.

Don't understand why you're such a dick about this. If we want coils that are under a grand let us want that. I saw your build thread. Absolutely nothing special about your car. Why are you acting like you accept "nothing but the best?" Let us see why your car and your opinion is so valuable, won't you?

I agree there's nothing special, however that's a product of me seeing QUALITY over QUANTITY. I'm not going to do a metric ton of shit mods when I could do 1 or 2 high quality mods, however I'm in the minority when it comes to things like that on this site.

But I mean, hey look at your mod list, you have a laundry list of shit, we should all listen to you!

$300 for a set of coil-overs is really CHEAP. If your shocks are dead then it's worth a try, for $300 you got nothing to lose, if they fail then buy another set then.

Just my 0.2 cents.

Well, I'm not going to waste any more time arguing. Hope you feel superior to everyone else because that's all I can figure is what drives you.

An enthusiast doesn't need someone to drive him to do something with his car, and its not my fault you bumped a thread about an absolutely trash product.

Look up reviews on other forums from people who actually know what they're talking about, NO ONE with any knowledge would ever use these.

Lol, I have racelands on my e36 M3, granted they are very cheap, my factory struts and shocks were blown so I went with these. I have had no problems.

I have read no reviews where people said they broke or anything. Will you show me some links?

Racelands, love 'em

Wow, new to the forum, and to fits, but not cars or hondas.

I have racelands and rokkors (really just racelands but sold as rokkors)
on a miata and a crx. They aren't as great for autocross as some of the other setups I've run (skunk 2's can be set up really stiff with the adjustable damper) as a stiffer damper, but they ride really nicely, my wife loves riding in the miata and it's dumped super low, but the ride is still great. I've sent the email too:

It would be cool if they did make a set for the GE. I have Buddy Club N+ now tho, so I don't care!
