Honda Fit Modifications

Hello

Im newer to the form and I’m considering buying a fit. I know their great on gas and I’ve seen some Fits with cool mods. However, I know remotely nothing about modding theses things. I’ve seen some Fits under 2010 for around 7k. With that range of year, what are some mods that will increase the HP on it and give it a good sound (not a ricer please). I know getting a a cold air intake and maybe a straight pipe or spark plugs will give me like a few more HP. I don’t really want to lower the car to stiffen the steering either. Maybe going lighter with rims? I don’t really know. Just something that will go a little fast and sound well. If I can’t get much more HP, give me some good aesthetic mods I can try.

Turbos are available for the first and second gen (2013-15 and earlier, depending on region.)

These cars are best for improving handling and making them look nice.Nice set of wheels, lower it and get the paint looking nice. Sway bar's and bushings. HKS exhaust sounds nice wont add any HP though.

This would be a great candidate for a FIt:

https://torqamp.com/torqamp-kit/

Electric turbo that can run around 5psi of boost. ~$2500

Good luck! I would suggest leaving the car alone until parts need to be replaced due to wear. These are excellent nimble little cars that can take a beating. Throw some stickers on it, maybe rims if you must. As for HP gains, i'd not bother. Just know that your place is the narrow twisty roads, and there you'll find the glory you seek.

I haven't seen anything on this turbo. Has anyone here tried it?

This sounds like snake oil.

OP, exhaust and intake don't make any real power. Don't waste your money.

That is what I thought at first as I have seen the cheap ones on eBay that do nothing. This company is utalizing the same technology that OEM's are using. Volvo and Audi have electric supercharger applications that are before a traditional one to help with lag.

Cleetus McFarland (who I have never watched before) put one on a Cobalt. After tuning it was making like 37HP over stock. Not sure if you can go higher then 5psi though which seems to be it's limit. Adding an intercooler and some meth would make that 5psi go even further. Seems like it is better used in conjunction with a traditional turbo but for the Fit that's all you need. Even made cool turbo noises

I would post the video but I'm on work comp at them moment.

That's four minutes of full boost. You're not usually at WOT for four straight minutes.
