This is true. I grew up with the first Fast and Furious movie so bad tint jobs were a part of my life for some time.

I live in a city so there's audio/tint shops with such bad quality all over the place. Really consider your options. The reputable places will back up their work and product.

3m crystalline . 70%in the front, including windshield and 30% in the back. Definitely makes a huge difference

2 cents about the tiny windows and making sure they tint them the first time... A coworker recently had his car done (2015 jetta wagon I believe) and the shop did not do the little windows even though he thought he left there stating whatever percent all the way around. I believe they went ahead and did them after he asked again. Their justification was that they do not do those unless it is specifically asked for. Something along the lines of, "all glass in front of the side mirrors is considered windshield." So it is worth being very specific when you take a Fit in to get tint.
