Exclamation What kind of intake would you suggest???

I have always been told that the farther away from the engine the air filter is the colder the air therefore the more power gained. Is this correct? The pics of the T1R CF intake, password jdm?? ( Is that what its called?), and Last Station Power Box Type-R and PRM are all placed toward the top of the engine unlike the Aspec which goes down farther into the engine. If im going to spend $$ i want to get a product that is going to be worth every last dollar. Any suggestions/input?? What brands would you suggest and why??

Here is a great starting point thread, it covers almost everything with tons of pics.

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-...ke-thread.html

There are three basic kinds; Cold Air Intakes CAI, Short Ram Intakes SRI & Chamber Intakes (and one hybrid Chamber CAI by J's Racing which costs a small fortune). Each system has it's own advantages. Tons of info under the "fit-jdm-tuning-engine-modifications-swaps" thread a few down from this one.
