Which radar detector is the best?

I had a passport 9500i and it was kind of cool at first, having GPS false alarm lockout feature, the talking voice and the plethora of settings it has (it has 4 settings or so just for the brightness). After a while though I noticed it wasn't as sensitive with LEOs facing the road I was on at an angle as opposed to straight on.
Long story short I went and got a V1 and it's very sensitive when you set it to detect all. The 9500i has a bogey counter/strength display too but the directional arrows on the V1 gives you a lot of confidence. Not to mention it's cheaper.

valentine v1.8 w/pop2...best radar i've ever used (and i've owned so many). the downs of it is that it'll detect so many false alarms, but it has saved me more than a mile in advance down the road plenty of times.

A friend and I just look out for each other. WITH BINOCULARS! lmao seriously we did that once just to keep an eye out from a FFARRR distance while speeding to our destination hahahahaha. On a serious note though i've only heard good things about the Valentine 1. A friend of mine has it and he loves it. We use it a lot on our cruising runs.

I have a Cobra as well, I like it just fine!! It's silly to rely on a radar detector when cops have instant-on laser capabilities these days...my Cobra is perfect for letting me know when there's one traveling behind me or sitting somewhere near, so I know not to anything stupid, and slow my roll a bit. My first Cobra died pretty quick (within 1.5 years) but I've been on my second one for about the same time now and it's still kickin' so.......

setting up a shopping list for my car since im about to get a job heh i noticed a cobra for 100 bucks at target, but i just KNEW thats too cheap >_> looking here, im glad i didnt buy that heh im willing to pay 400-500 for a detector, better than all the potential tickets i'd get lol im not askin about whats the best tho, im asking, is there still a possiblilty that you can still get caught? like if you turn around a concrete wall or something, or if they have one of those "trigger laser/radar"? i don't want to be dependant on my detecor if i shoudn't be =S also, which is better for BOTH laser AND radar, i have a feeling one is better at laser and the other is better for radar. (passport 9500 and val-1)
