This is the greatest feature it is so quite unless there is a real threat.
But too much $$$

Nuff Said. The 9500 is sick. I want one so bad. I have two of the 8500 x50s. They have the longest range detection. The 8500 and Valentine one were always "Tied for the top" until the 9500 came out. The valentine tells you which direction the signal is coming from, but 8500 is more sensitive, so it signals from a lil farther out. The 9500 is SMARTER, more sensitive, and just all around badass. It is definitely the new Benchmark. You really can't go wrong with 8500, 9500, or v1.

My first 8500 has saved me thousands over the years. I had my cruise set on I5 at probably 105mph in my accord, and an escalade EXT was going to pass me easily doing 120, and my radar went off and I couldn't see anything for miles, about 3 miles ahead, there was an overpass, so I dropped to 80mph and stayed in the right lane, and as I passed the overpass, there was a dozen or so cops all lined up just nailing people. The Escalade got like 1 cruiser and 2 bikes on him since he was so far over the century mark. If you drive I5 or HWY80, BUY ANYTHING. And I hate lazers, you instantly get full blast warning, and you already have a ticket. Nothin works for lazers other than scramblers, but they are highly illegal in cali.

The PASSPORT 9500ix also comes pre-loaded with thousands of safety camera locations, including red light and speed-based cameras throughout North America.

Our latest invention, the GPS-powered PASSPORT 9500ix, is no exception. It provides the best long-range protection against every known radar and laser gun in use in North America, but also incorporates GPS accuracy to silence each and every false alert.

I was leaning towards Valentine 1 too until i heard about the 9500IX.. my friend said that I don't need one because i can just use my eyes. I just like the fact that it has speed camera detectors . So I myself need help deciding this.. V1 OR 9500IX......

You choose..

im settling wit V-1, buh i can still change my mind. V-1 only because it has arrows and tells your how many sources there are. i dont mind the false allarms, its the high way that i need it for, around here, theres barely stores on the high way

I need to sell my 8500s and get a 9500 and hardwire it I don't speed in the fit anyway. It's a waste of gas and time, takes like 5 minutes to pass someone. I only use my radar in my coupe, since 2drs scream PULL ME OVER and hatchbacks say eco car.

Your foot.

I guarantee you that if you use your foot properly your car will avoid ever being pulled over by a cop with a radar gun.

It's easy to use too!

Simply depress the accelerator only to an amount that allows you to be within the speed limit!

SUCCESS!

V1 and the 9500ix are the big dogs right now. Just depends on if you want concealment and added features.

I've been running a Bel Vector 955 and for most situations, it has ben addequte. But I changed jobs back in January and it is NOT suited for my new commute. I don't know if the cops here are using a different Ka frequncy than the 34.7 that my 955 was a champ at detecting or if it's just the hills and curves, but I have had several skin of my teeth moments. I'll definately be upgrading sometime soon.

As for Cobras, it doesn't matter if you have the $30 one or the $300 one. They are all more trouble than they are worth. The top end ones do actually provide fairly decent detection range in some situations. However, Cobra has no real research and development team and no patented anti-falsing technology like Beltronics/Escort and V1 do. The result is they use work arounds that leave Cobras dead to one frequency of Ka and very susceptable to falsing.

BTW, any currently sold Beltronics/Escort products other than the STI and 9500s, and whatever Bels version of the 9500 is will not vary greatly on detection, just features.

personally, i think its very important to know wether there are more than one sources and where they are. something that the V1 provides. # of sources b\c tehre could be a cop waiting after a first cop/speed trap. or more than one speed traps. and direction b\c the cop could have lowered thier gun so the strenth goes down, so u'd think u passed him, but BAM! he puts it back up and your caught. so V1 for the win

To each his own. I'd rather a V1 but I know people who've owned both and love the GPS features of the 9500ix, like the falsing lock out and speedcam/spedtrap locating. I'e been thinking 9500ix for the Odyssey and V1 for the Fit.

even the 8500 X50 an original 8500 both have it where you can set it to see how many sources and signal strength of the sources. I have seen like 6+ bars going down I5 where they are lined up underneath overpasses and have like 10 cops lined up pickin people off. Each bar shows the signal strength for each signal. I really want to upgrade to the 9500 tho
