I currently have an 8500 in the wife's Odyssey. It's perfect for her b/c it's much quieter than my v955. I don't really care too much for Expert mode, to tell the truth. I much prefer Spec mode for sorting out real from false Ka sources. If I have a genuine signal, I slow down for a while, anyway.

OMG, my 8500 saved me sooooo much money driving to Vegas and back from an hour north of SF. Just got home, and it picked off cops from soooo far back I was like WTF it has to be a false one, and like 3-5 miles later, BOOM BOOM BOOM signal gets much stronger and they were out in force! Seriously, it's paid for itself over and over.

Maybe it's all the sleeper cop cars. I've only gotten a speeding ticket from a trap once. All others from unmarked cars behind me. And I've gotten six. Haha! Thankfully, I don't feel so inclined to drive the Fit fast as I was my preious vehicles.

Top of the line Escort, hands down. I would only trade mine for the latest model.

Cheap detectors are poor buys-they'll false so much you end up ignoring them.
