Towing with a 2008.

Has anyone towed with a first gen? I’m thinking about towing about 600lbs. I’m in the states if that
matters. Auto trans. I saw there were comments about this when I searched but it was a lot to sift through and I’m specifically interested in towing up to 600lbs with an auto trans on flat highways. No mountains or steep grades. TIA! Edit: NVMND I found the answer. Ordered a hitch.

I have a class 1 trailer hitch on my 2013 Fit Sport. I can pull a small open trailer with at least that much weight (usually more) with no problems. It does lower the fuel efficiency a great deal though
