Why do some people lump the 2008 Fit into the 2nd generation of Fit.
As far as I know the 2007 and 2008 are Gen 1 cars.

Yet some on this forum lump the 2008 into Gen 2.

Am I incorrect in thinking that the 08 is Gen 1?

I see comments about 2008 to 2013 cars, in a comment, or poll.
Shouldn't it be 2009 to 2013?

 

The second gen was available for the 2008 model year in other countries.

And the second gen was available through 2014 in some markets too.

As an 08 owner, I thought that my car was a Gen 1, but lately started to wonder.

 

If it looks like a gen one, it is one.

if it looks like a gen two, it is one

 

My car looks like a space ship.
