I would think that turbo + "without any other modification" is impossible...

I was considering putting a $100 ebay turbo on my L13 if things get bad this winter again and ther's nothing else to do. We'll see, but it's still going to be quite a lot of work especially getting it mounted there somehow.

Turbo

The idsi engine takes quite a lot of space... Really difficult to find a good space to instal a turbo kit

L15 Auto non cvt

I’m located in the United States and read that the CVT wasnt available until 2015. That the GD3 and GE’s until 2015 all had traditionional autos.

You are correct, but the OP is talking about an earlier (2003) version of the Fit that wasn't sold in the US, with a 1.3 L engine never available in the US, because he/she is in Mauritius.

I thought the Fit started in 2007 in the USA but it was around other parts of the world (Europe, Asia) as the Jazz since about 2002. Where would you find a 2003 Fit? Japan?

Evidently, Mauritius which is in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar and Africa. Exporting used cars from Japan is very common due to the country's insurance and maintenance requirements. It would not surprise me to hear that a small island nation like Mauritius would have flexible laws that allow importing new and used vehicles from a variety of markets.

This sounds a lot like the G2 Insight drive train without the hybrid equipment. Honestly the most difficult part will be the CVT. There's a long history of people building "junkyard turbo" setups for their cars. The mechanical aspects of adding the turbo are pretty straight forward. It's the engine management (fueling) side of things that gets complicated. The L13 ECM isn't designed for a turbo engine. It will throw error codes when it sees boost in the intake manifold. The most reliable solution is to replace the PCM with an aftermarket unit that's programmed to handle boost. Unfortunately, the L13 PCM also controls the CVT. So you would need an aftermarket boost-programmed PCM that also includes CVT programming. I don't think that exists.

Bobski, you obviously know more about this than I do, but my 2¢ would be adding a turbo or nitrous to a small engine and drivetrain not designed to handle that level of power is asking for trouble. It will reduce longevity and reliability (which is kinda self defeating because these cute little buggies are incredibly reliable). My 2007 Fit Sport M/T has 275,000 miles and still uses only 1 qt of oil (full synthetic) every 6000 mi. Plus she still delivers same fuel economy as 15 years ago.

All true, but this is the choice some people make with their cars. Honda "over-builds" their products to some degree, which lets them cope with abnormal operating conditions and/or neglect that might damage vehicles from other manufacturers. This is part of that reliability we're all fond of. If the engine is in good condition, and performance-adder package is built and tuned properly, it can operate within that safety margin. The extents of that margin is an unknown, at least until a build and tune exceeds it and destroys the engine. Barring detonation or other misadventure, I'll guess the L13 can hit 130-140 HP?
If the engine blows up on a dyno run and/or with a data-logging system installed, the conditions that killed the engine can be pinned down and corrected for the next build.
