I love my tires

2016 EX. Last year bought Yokohama Avid Ascend GT tires. Was driving on the highway last week when I realized how much quieter my car is. I did notice it when the tires are new but now, close to a year later, it's so obvious how much nicer it is to drive on the highway.

FYI if you're looking to buy these tires note that Yokohama makes several tires with really similar names. These are the Avid Ascend GT, not the Avid GT nor the Ascend GT nor regular Avid Ascend without the GT. And yes, they're jerks for having products with very similar names.

Yokohama Tires.

Got mine at my local Discount Tire shop. Yokos are the only way to go.

Had to get mine from Tire Rack. I tried the local giant chain (Mavis)- they ordered the wrong tire even after I made it darn clear which tire I wanted and was very specific about the name of the tire.
Tire Rack shipped the tires to Pep Boys because they have a deal on installation.
Driving home from the store on the highway something felt way off, like I was driving on ice.
Got home, checked the tire pressure, it was way too high.

We had those (or the prior variant) on a family member's 2017 GK5. I was absolutely shocked with how much quieter they were compared to the factory Firestone FT140s.

Even before the abnormalities from the tire's molding case were polished off, it was noticeable difference. After those finally wore/polished off (plus the additional sound deadening on 2017s and onward) that little GK5 was a nice, quiet little highway car.

Good info, only ran Toyo before, but may have to check out some Yoko on next swap.

Yokos are great tires, on the 2nd set for 2013 Fit. Did notice that they don't last the warrenty, ie: 60,000 mile warrenty & tires only made it 48,000. We buy our tires at Discount in Phoenix. Always keep the tire pressure at proper temps.

Does your car have 16" wheels? I have the 2016 LX with 15"s. I was looking for the Avid Ascend and everything is in 16" that I could find..

Yes, EX with 16" wheels, though I sold the car last July. Driving a Tesla Model Y now, though I have a fondness when I see a Fit on the road.
