Fit has CHEAP seat belts!

ok im kinda pissed about my seatbelt becoming worn i dont hv pictures but its near my waist where the wear is happening..

iv only had the car for 3400km so far
i mean i always use my seatbelt of course, cause of the alerting signal thing

anyone else hving problems of the wear on the seat belt??

the material is becoming fuzzy at the side of the seatbelt

do you think i can bring it back to honda and hv them change it or replace it with better ones?

ps. i have a ae86 and the seat belt material looks fine nothing fuzzing anywhere, only problem with the seatbelt is it takes a lil longer for it to retract, but damn it looks good and no fading of colour in my ae86, toyota owns.
further more, iv owned my ae86 for about 4 years, basically i wear the same "clothing combo" in my fit and my ae86, so i dont see why my fits seatbelt being soo cheap and crappy

You know what this calls for right...?

BUCKET SEATS WITH A 5-POINT HARNESS!!!!

But seriously, that should never happen. talk to the dealership, they should give you new belts all around. and if they want to try and charge you for it then get pissed and say that this is a safety item and that it should of been perfect in the first place!

so far no issues with my belts (had the car for 9,600 miles)

Hi tdubl!

Do you wear a jacket with Velcro closures? If you do, each time you buckle up, you may be dragging the seatbelt across the Velcro, abrading the belt.

Hope this helps! (This is my first post, btw!)

Lol! I always wear my seatbelt because it could save my life one day but, hey, whatever

Have you discussed it with your dealer? They should take it very seriously and replace it free of charge. If not, kick up a fuss.

i actually think its because of that.. but still i wear this jacket all the time with my ae86.. and my seatbelt on the ae86 is still pretty good no fraying/fuzzing anywhere..

i guess im trying to diss the seatbelts on the fit..

im gonna talk to them when i do my first oil change..
