Fit transit time from Japan to Midwest dealer?
My dealer showed me a print out looks like my car was built on 3-27 and was scheduled for 3-30 shipping. I guess they hit port somewhere around Seattle and are then railed in pretty close.
Bottom lining the question.......
he says my car could be in by late this coming week, or 4-7 days from now.
Is that possible???????????

I bought mine 3 weeks ago, they told me itd be 1 week if they could find one locally, 3 weeks if they had to get one shipped from Japan. There wasnt one locally, and i called friday, they told me its scheduled for delivery monday.
This is near Toronto.

In my experience, the info the dealer has is pretty accurate. They showed me "the sheet" and it said my Fit was to be in between 3/20 and 3/24 and mine showed up on 3/24. I am in Indy.
I think once the "ship" date is set, they should have an estimated delivery date.
And, my entry port was San Diego with a Shipping orign of Chicago. I assume they sent the car via rail to Chicago where they shipped on truck from there.

I haven't ordered my Fit yet.
But my MINI Cooper was held at port for a couple of weeks while it was bumped from one ship to another. Once it landed in South Carolina it was about 6 days from there to Indy.
I had full knowlege of my MINI at all stages. From the day it was ordered to the assembly stages, painting, transport to port, tracked it accross the pond on the ship, but lost track of it once it landed in South Carolina, No GPS on the BMW car transports. Although the MINI was not exposed to the elements while in transport like just about every car is in North America.
