Vivid Blue 2007 Sold w/ surprise!

We got our Fit the day that they were released. A 2007 Vivid Blue Sport. I was there when it rolled off the trailer. I was a tremendous car. We got the car because my wife needed a commuter with good mileage and lots of room. The Fit was a good...f .... um.... match. After 7 months and 14,000 miles we didn't need a commuter anymore and Honda was releasing the V6 Accord Sedan in a 6 speed manual. DROOL... So we took the Fit in for trade. We expected to not get much for it because of the mileage that we had added. WRONG. The dealership gave us $1900 more than we owed. Which was about $1000 more than we originally purchased the car for. The sales manager was very thankful for the car because they had not had one to sell in weeks.

I went back the next day to get my new Accord detailed and the Fit had already sold. For $21,000.

Congrats on the Accord.
Yeah, that dealer was laughing all the way to the bank! Most Fit owners don't spend near that much, even after tags, tag, titlle, a few other fees are tagged on.

Even if there were no Fits avaialble within a 500 mile radius, it would probably be cheaper to get a plane ticket, buy a new one at a dealer somewhere, and drive it home (or fly back and have the car shipped for a few hundred dollars.)

DANG - things sure are different out your way.

I drove down to the Honda dealer in Pueblo CO on a Tuesday (two weeks ago). They had a pair of black sports on the lot, one stick one auto. I drove the auto. They said they had a red auto and a silver auto due any day.

Thursday I stopped in the dealer on my way to Raton and they had just unloaded the two above. A third red stick also came in but was pre-sold. I did the paperwork right then and there on the silver one and it was sitting in my driveway saturday nite when I returned from Raton. Got it for list plus $399 doc fees, no charge for delivery (50 miles away).

The day after I signed the deal my local dealer left me a VM that they had just unloaded two - one sport and one base. So yea, they are available out this way, and if you stay away from the Denver area dealers you won't need any vaseline for added mark-up and $1500 protection packages.

Agreed. It made me not miss the Fit so much. The increase in equity paid the down payment on the Accord. The 2007 Accord V6 6 speed was a special order to get black on black. There is a funny story behind that one also....

I'll start with the ending... 13 days after purchase.....

And this would explain why I have a silver Accord in my driveway now.

Aw man I've always wanted to drive a 6spd V6 Accord! I love that generation, the new ones are just too big.

Shit maybe I'll go take a drive up to Washington and trade-in my Fit there lol, sounds like they'd pay me out of my negative equity.
