Honda Fit in Film

I'm the Picture Car Coordinator for a film being shot in Boston this month called "What's Your Number?" That means I find, rent, maintain, and drive the cars that appear in the movie.

I've found myself in a tricky situation. The director of the film wants TWO matching Honda Fits for several scenes over the next two weeks. We have one, it's a Vivid Blue Pearl 2007 Honda Fit. We need another Blue 2007-2008 Fit. Not "Sport," not 2009-2010, no other color. Nobody rents these cars, so I'm getting desperate. I have $1600 available for rental from 6/16/10-6/25/2010.

Email me if any of you or your friends in the greater Boston area might be open to renting out their car for a few days.

Thanks!

P.S. This isn't spam or a Nigerian scam.

Good luck with your search. I would repost this on the GD3-First Generation board, and in the New England board.

Hope that helps.

Good luck finding one; Fit Base models are rarer than the Sports from what I noticed. Your best bet if you can't find a VBP base in the states is to hop over to Canada and get either a DX or LX model Fit (both of which has no lip kit). The Canadian spec models no major differences from the US Base except that some LXs may have the Sport's spoiler and the Sport's rims, but those can be easily removed/swapped and put back on after filming.

Thanks for clearing that up. I remember reading in the dealer book that 2 colors were sport only.
