I really like and want the fit now, but i read that the 08 fits are gonna be a lil bigger with more options. it's sooo hard to resist not getting the fit. what do you people think?

In your place, if you can negotiate one for MSRP and get the color/trans/accessories you want, I would buy one now. If the '08s are significantly better, you can probably get a good trade in with your '07. Depending on what you drive now, your fun with the new Fit and gas savings will make trading it in fairly painless. IMO.

are the 08's going to be more expensive at all? Anyone seen MSRP on them?

I just got the 07. What is the deal with the odometer issue? Did they program the odometer to make people think they are getting more mpg? Am I really getting 5% less? What's the deal?

When do 08's start showing up? i'll be getting a FIT in 2-3 months. But i want white. I better stay on vtec.net. they know all the rumors. I cant see white getting deleted. Tire pressure monitoring system isnt a surprise as all cars in 08 are mandated to have this feature i think.

Found this on Honda Review Site:

1 more year. Yes we said 1 more year until the full model change of this very popular yet low production vehicle. Don't expect any major changes to this entry level vehicle for 08. The 2007 build-out is for August arrival vehicles so expect 2008 models to begin arriving in September. What you will see new for 2008 will be a few new colors. Look for Tidewater Blue Metallic (Base and Sport) and Blackberry Pearl (Sport Only). All interior colors will come with Black interiors. Taffeta White and Lunar Mist Metallic will be discontinued.
Tire Pressure Monitors Systems will be standard equipment.

2009 Honda Fit

Full model change
Possible diesel engine
Increase in horsepower
Armrest!

Look at what 2009 will bring -OMG - an actual armrest and more
horsepower!! Hope this answers some of your questions!

Cat :x

don't honda change model's design every 2 years???

i could be wrong but 08 Fit will be almost "identical" to 07.. (probably more color choices & options)

correct me if i am wrong..

If you can get an '07 at MSRP or below, I recommend just picking one up, as the '08 models will be a little tougher to negotiate I would assume.

Honda waits 5 years or so for a model change. Sometime they will tweak a model but the chassis doesn't change. Everyone should remember just because the FIT is new to the US doesn't mean its new. If I remember right the FIT was introduced in 2001-2002 meaning this model is all ready over 5 years old.

If you can wait a few months then Wait. If the 08 has more options that you like then you buy it and win. If not then you can get an 07 at a good price. So either way you win... that is if you can wait.

Its worth the wait if theres no rush for a car/transportation and for a little extra features as well. Heck, i gota wait 3 months for my 08 Saleen. I have parts just sitting here for it.

If the differences are not useful/practical to your needs, then go with 07 if u can get it cheaper.

The schedule is every 4 years a major redesign, 2 years after that a minor redesign, and every year very small tweaks.

If you live in PA, I would definitely say buy the '07, as next year we have the same emissions requirements as CA .
