water noises, like a boat

radio off, ac off, quiet parking lot, just come to a stop from around 5 mph and i hear a lapping/ water rocking noise like a boats hull in the water. sounds like its coming from the dash area, but maybe the fuel tank? ive noticed it with 1/2 tank and full tank. not sure, our cars dont have drip rails or drains that could get clogged do they? Ive seen this on cars with sun roof drains. lemme know if u got the noise too

Yeah, mine does the same thing. I just noticed it a couple of days ago. I disregarded it as the fuel tank, but am not 100% sure... kinda weird to hear tho...

It is the fuel tank. It's right below your butt. I find it is most noticeable when the tank gauge is at about 3/4 to 2/3 fuel left.

All Fits have that sound. It's reassuring you that there's several gallons of gasoline just a couple of inches from your a$$hole.

Sort of a seat-of-the-pants fuel gauge.

I know this sounds like a total joke, but do you have any leaves stuck to the front of your car? I was hearing a strange sound today driving the Fit, and then I realized it was just the way the air was flowing across a giant leaf that was stuck under my hood!
