J/K

What's ironic is that some of the earlier W211 E55's came with the fix-a-flat and many people were going to the dealer to buy a spare to put in the trunk instead.

Good ole' murphy.

about fix a flat and that tends to dispute this... i too wish to ditch my spare and hardware but its to have space to mount a amp and a sub or two

I got a flat at 1561 miles and only 6 weeks old. I ran over a screw. Low tire pressure warning came on. One tire was as 22 instead of 32. We filled it up, didn't see the screw, and when we came out the next day, the tire was totally flat. Dealer told us he couldn't plug or repair it, so we paid $120 installed for a new freaking Dunlop. Sigh . . .

Was the screw in the sidewall or in the tread of the tire?
