special thanks to my older one
i got a soar throat.
he picked
it up from pre-school last week.
damn it.
so, no motoring my cooper-s this morning and maybe tomorrow either.
the cool morning air is not good for soar throats. which means im going
to bring up the stock wheels/tires for my legacy this morning (at least
a pair) from the basement and stack them up in the garage.
tomorrow evening im going to take the ASA mesh wheels off the legacy
and put the stockers back on. thurs/fri, i hope to see that car get lost.
in the back of my head i still kinda have a taste for the 09 FitS...

OT, but it also applies to Fit's so here it goes...
yesterday while coming home from work i passed by 3 new Accord
coupes. there were 2 accord coupes that were coming out of a
Honda dealership while i was waiting for the light.
1. Silver stock V6, a guy and salesguy on a test drive. looked nice.
2. Black V6 kinda lowered on wide 19's with a 2F2F lookin chump driving.
not sure if it was actually lowered by suspension or just supporting the
weight of the kid. anyway, his car looked werd. i have to say if you're
going to get a FF, dont get wide wheels/tires for the car...especially
coming from a guy like me that has a modded FR coupe, the wide
wheels/tires on the rear on a FWD car just looks too rice.
get a FR coupe instead.
3. then further down the road came the icing on the cake...
a Black base 4 cylinder stock, with a TypeR emblem.
hahaha

looks like i found my odyssey touring at 2 local dealerships. hope they
still have stock for a few more days. my ideal combo is silver exterior
and black leather interior.
one dealer has over 100 odyssey's in stock.
with only 17/25mpg
i guess they took a HUGE hit... especially when the EX trim only does 17/23mpg.

And they're expensive. I like the Odyssey which says a lot...it's the only minivan I'd own, but they are expensive. A good friend has an EX-L model and loves it. He traded in a fully loaded Cadillac CTS and is very happy with his decision.
I know that most on here are domestic haters, but I'd also look at the Ford Flex.

yah, touring model is MSRP $40K+. im trying to push them down to the low $37's which is the market price right now on the new 08's.
if they wont, i could consider the EX-L (my original plan) with the
RSE and Nav. that'll be like $36K, so push them down to like $34K.
i just like the touring model better cause it comes with everything and
i dont have to mess with it later on. the only bits i would get for the
black leather is the dark wood trim and a/s floor mats.

it has everything except for the roof and other exterior accessories
which i dont need. the only options i'd get later (online) is the
a/s floor matts, dark wood trim. that's all.
but if i get the EX-L with RSE and Nav, id want to get some aftermarket
17's...this i really want to stay away from. the EX-L's 16's are so ugly.
my local dealer where i got my FitS is giving me a tad of a hard time
so i might go to my other dealer where i got my previous 06 civic which
has over 100 odyssey's in-stock. they too have the exact silver/black
leather i want.

I stopped by the dealer on the way home to check out their showroom
odyssey. i didnt bother to drive it cause my wife is the one that's
going to be driving it mostly and she needs to feel comfortable driving
that huge vessel.
well, thats wat it felt like inside. it's a ship. or a bus. or a train. it's
huge.
i sat in the driver's seat, felt good, but the angle of the
steering wheel isnt my favorite. it's too angled. i like my steering
wheel more parallel to the floor/ground.
i sat in the 2nd row. nice.
i sat in the 3rd row. nice.
i sat in the trunk. nice.
i sat on the roof.
asked my salesguy to investigate feasibility on the numbers i sent
him via email. then we shall talk.
hope we come home with one
in a few days.

guys, just a warning DO NOT BUY any child restraint products from
ejoggers.com (i placed order through amazon).
their service was 'ok' until about August and suddenly it plunged into
the abyss. DO NOT order from them cause not only do they not
ship your order, they will not reply to your emails/voicemails on
a timely manner. I think possibly they are going bankrupt or their
employee quit or died or something.
my Recaro child seat for my young one has been long due and they
have yet to cancel my order. i should've just bought it through my
MINI online parts store as before. MINI Cooper Parts & Accessories Including BMW MINI & Cooper S Performance Parts at MiniCarParts.net
tried to save like $35... i pay the price.

went driving around during lunch time in search for a mazda dealer
(yah, need to research all my options before making the purchase)
only to find out they moved. LOL
so that was painless.
personally i hate mazda's, toyota's, ford (political issue), and subaru.
while doing so, i spotted a 09 Fit driving past me. unlike the 09FitSport
i saw a few days ago, the 09 base Fit didnt look that much different
from a barebone economy car.. like a 3dr yaris or something.
it must be the wheels and the bodykit on the 09 Sport that really
captivate the appeal.

wife asked me to try one more thing on the LegacyWgn before we
give up on it...
Im going to swap out the O2 sensor with a BOSCH one and see how it
works. the misfires on the car is rediculous at times on very wet days
and has been the core reason why my wife and i want to get rid of it.
on dry days the car runs fine.
i have a feeling either there's just too much humidity buildup inside
the intake area of the engine or the OE O2 sensor (by Denso) just
sucks and starting to wear out. was okay until about 30K...seems
like someone switched the BREAKDOWN button or something.
also need to get a new hvac mode actuator if the O2 sensor is a
successful fix.
will see...

holy crap, i killed a frog with my FitS!!!
i didn't notice this until yesterday while i was taking out the trash.
wife and son were telling me a few days ago that there was a
flattened frog dried up right under where i park my FitS.
it looks like it was trying to leap out of the way of the tire while i was
pulling out looking at the direction of his head..was pointing down the
driveway and how his body was stretched out. oh man...
wat's sad is i dont see too many frogs around my neighborhood but
we had that hellish rainstorm over the weekend where we broke our
1987 record... over 6.8" fell. he must've been looking for a place to
chill and wat better (worse) place than under a cool FitSport.

rip.
i should bury him, but he's affixed to the driveway...
Hahah poor little guy.
Reminds me of my best friends little brothers friend lol...
He is a frog fanatic, and used to always catch them little guys in the grass, and throw them at us??? It was kinda nasty. But the weird thing was, when he threw them at us on the grass the frogs never got hurt lol.
Over pavement was a diffrent story heh.

yah, my pops use to tell me he use to skin frogs to use as
bait to catch crawfish and stuff in the river when he was a kid. lol
he also told me that he use to use his bicycle with his
buddies to electricute eels in the river. a lot of bicycles in
japan use to have headlight generators on the back tire.
the bicycle stands raise the rear tire completely off the ground
so it freewheels. one guy would pedal hard and the other guy
would find the eel's nest and take the wires off the generator and ZAP!
not sure wat kids these days do in japan. probably some nintendo wii
or something and kill people virtually.

hey found a new online parts store. seems to be a pretty reliable source to get factory
and aftermarket bits. they have a listing for Fit's.
i placed the order last night for some parts for my other car and just a moment
ago, got my email confirmation that my part shipped.
