so yesterday i was well enough from the cold and was thinking i have
some time to wash the FitS after work.
...until i walked up to my house and noticed 3 HUGE bird crap
stains on the side of my house about 20ft up.
i mean HUGE bird
crappage.
so i pulled out my hose with the Griot's 9 position nozzle, put some
detergent in it and blasted the wall in the JET mode. it's a powerful
stream. the crappage came off but like on most painted surface, the
wood siding is stained.
tried a wash towel on the
end of my extended pole and soap... no dice.
i look at my watch and now it's time for supper.
damn it, i hate
birds. all non edible birds need to be removed from the planet.

btw, forgot to mention... im not too worried about the stain on the wall.
the reason is the sun's UV has some chemical reaction to most stains
and sometimes it removes them 'naturally.'
for instance, if you have a brownish stain on your car's clearbra from bugs,
leave it out in the sun for a few days. chances are, they will dissappear.

hey found a new online parts store. seems to be a pretty reliable source to get factory
and aftermarket bits. they have a listing for Fit's.
i placed the order last night for some parts for my other car and just a moment
ago, got my email confirmation that my part shipped.
check it out:

TOOL- exactly! isn't it crazy?
im sure there are more dangers to the environment where people
throw out nicd/nimh batteries, pcb's, coolant down the drains,
computers, etc. etc. they should first start with making retailers
take back and recycle used batteries and computers, old coolant, oils,
etc.
how much carshampoo do most people use anyway? people are so damn
cheap they usually dillute their shampoo like 1oz for 3gallons+.
talking of which, im going to wash my FitS in 5.

yah, that article lists that material as the main cause of the ban.
the gov does funny things some times. fix the source, not do some
bandaid fix. i will bet you people will wash their cars in their
garages and just rinse the shampoo out onto their driveway
saying they used appropriate soap to clean their garage...
anyway, haagendaz coffee tastes fantastic.
my FitS was finally washed this am. looks great.
polished the
megan exhaust tips too.

yesterday pretty much motored the FitS all day.
in the morning
i pulled out my G since it was sunny only to be hit by a WALL of dense
fog like 5min later
. it was too dangerous to drive (visibility less
than 1/8 mile at times) so aborted my weekend drive and QD'ed the car.
my G almost looked like it went through rain which pissed me off cause
i dont like getting the car wet. bascially love keeping my cars clean, but
i hate cleaning them...it's too much like a chore.
after 20+ MF
detailing towels and loads of Griot's SpeedShine, Prima Clarity and its
MF glass towels, Prima Slick for my wheels, i was done.
waited about 3hrs and the fog cleared so pulled out my FitS to motor.
i drove the FitS spiritedly and the car responded very well with that
nice vtec tone.
what i like about this drivetrain is how light the
flywheel is. it's very quick to getup and go from a crawl or stop...and
on the MT, i get to decide whether i want to chirp the tires or not.
then we ran a quick errand over to mitsuwa to have lunch and checked
out their "hokkaido fair." while i was looking for a parking spot people
were checking out my ride.
yah, you like it.
bought a
whole load of groceries.
then motored over to grandma's house to drop off the kids... then
a quick stop home to drop off the groceries.
then motored over to the mall with the wife (without the kids
).
reminds me every time that the FitS is a everyday fun car with a purpose.
car is so versatile with the ease of loading up the kids, groceries, ample
room inside for cargo it's crazy. i dont see why people buy suv's if they
only have 2 kids like us. plus, dad gets to have fun motoring the car while
kids are still asleep.

as OEM fit, it does not fit my 06 Legacy...
i mean, it has an OEMconnector, but probably for an older Suby.
so i asked drivewire for a RMA. i got my # the next day and going
to return it today. oh well. at least the store handled the transaction quickly.
hope to get my credit within 30days.
just a follow up... although the store and Bosch list the PN i bought

yah, i recommend them for parts. i think it was Bosch's fault
that they list this sensor for my car anyway, not the store.

you may want to think twice if you're planning to order wiper blade inserts from collegehillshonda.
they bent all 3 of them into a small box. i complained, they said it's "okay
because the inserts are pliable. not to be bent in half"... even though the
factory packaging clearly states DO NOT BEND.
the inserts each have memory in them now because it's got several
ripples for where the 2 metal support thingies go in on each side. i
straighten them out in my trunk... hope the memory goes away.
when i buy inserts from other stores it usually comes in a long
cardboard sleeve. next time im buying from my local dealer for sure.

from collegehillshonda... as usual, before opening the package i checked
the length and the width.
WTF, collegehills sent me the wrong ones for the front.
i think theyare the 2007 ones before they went to the thicker blade. the width
is too narrow.
nothing but problems with this store lately. i sent an email to them to
get back to me on how to go about the return. it's a huge waste of my
time just for some stupid refills.
if they f- me for this return, i will post this in the for sale. it's for the
2007's i think.

5hrs have passed and no response from collegehillshonda.com
im pretty damn sure i am not going to order from them anytime soon.
it's a nusance when i have to waste my valuable time chasing down a
poorly executed sale (placing refills bent up in a small box first of all)
and poor customer service.

stupid collegehillshonda told me to give them a call for the exchange or
refund. WTF. why do I have to call them for their mistake?
they should simply send me the right ones along with a call-tag for
the wrong ones. even so, i would still need to make a trip over to
UPS to drop off.
if you remember drivewire.com and all the other stores that i deal
online, i have not had to make a call for a simple return/exchange.
they would reimburse me for return freight as well.
collegehills suck. im buying my next honda parts from below.
Ive had great experience through the years at HandA Accessories:
H and A Accessories dot com - Genuine Factory Honda and Acura Accessories at discount prices. Accessories made by Honda and Acura for your car
I would also give Bernardiparts.com a try as well in the future.
they are a vendor here.
live and learn.

met up with a FF member to sell the wiper refills yesterday during lunch
only to see that his 2007 FitS was also running the same blade as mine..
lol... so i didn't sell it. will call the stupid store to get the
exchange. all this f-king non-sense just for a pair of refills. such a
waste of time. guys dont buy from collegehills.com they absolutely
shine when it comes to shitty service.
anyway, he showed me his sound system and let me listen to it. was a nice
2din eclipes (fujitsu-ten) and dang, it sounded awesome!
he said
he hadn't changed out the speakers yet... i was amazed how good
the stock speakers sounded.
huh...
i might have to try something like that down the road.
