hope to install the bone mount later tonight.. it ties up the engine and tranny mounts. will do the resonator delete over the weekend and that should make my R mine.

craps mang, car's windshield got hit by a rock going down the expressway today and ended up with a 7-8inch long curved crack. safelite's coming over tomorrow to see if they can fix it or may need to replace the entire glass.
anyway, got the tranny/engine mounts insert installed on my R today. with the short shifter, now it feels GOOD and correct!

If I recall, thought I heard 'no (or very limited) mods' on the new R...
Found it:
but he's now far down that slippery slope... LOL
Still haven't seen the pics, did you choose white or blue?

luckily no.
i already took off the wiper arms and undid the cowl for the tech.
shhhhhhh~~!

yah, i went with white. i like the factory 19's and the gray/silver wheel color just looks better on white vs the blue. so im going to be doing the resonator delete later today.. mang, my right arm still hurts and all these mods are not helping in any way!
when i did the mount insert yesterday i had to use a cheater bar cause so frikken tight...

fak, the satelite guy did ok, besides the small scratches he made along the a-pillar, the glass do not match the contour of my rear view mirror base with auto wiper sensor..there is a 9-10mm gap between the glass and the back of the mirror base. the mirror base finisher do not attach correctly to the mirror either due to the weird angle.
had to make a stink about it with the help of my insurance guy and they finally agreed to get me an oem glass to redo it next weekend. as u can tell, i am NOT HAPPY!
shittt happens and at least they are trying to fix the problem.
but my audi resonator delete kit for my R arrived, so installed that with my kid which was fun.
took the R out for a test drive and it sounds good!

haha.... right....

Yeah, hope you get the right glass fitment done, then you can finally take some pics! The white is nice, a neighbor across the street has the occasional "R" guest over and it looks sharp.

Thanks! Yah I really like the white and the interior blue accents matches nicely too.
Downloaded the software for the JB1 yesterday so will update the settings on my GTI later today.
Oh yah, forgot to mention I installed these small usp paddle extenders on my GTI yesterday so that I have reach at 2 and 10 o'clock.

Meh didn't get a chance to work on my GTI yesterday, but did try out the paddle extenders. I like.
On the R there is a lot of dead stroke on the clutch pedal at the floor so made a rubber stopper to reduce that. Will give it a run this am. Then wash the GTI, tweak the piggyback.

Ouch, pulled my back yesterday am probably from the clearbra i was doing on the factory lip area of the front bumper the previous night. i worked in a peculiar position since low and it was not comfy.
anyway, washed the GTI, cleaned up the R and decided to pass the GTI piggyback tweaking due to pain..
i think the R's factory gas pedal can use a little more width for heel and toe so ordered a set of Sparco pedal covers. will probably just install the gas pedal for the lip it has on the left side. i read those pedals are pretty easy to bend to match the contour of the factory pedals so that is good news. the gas pedal is pretty rounded like a BRZ pedal so..

^^ thanks for looking out for me!

the good is that my lower back is not aching as much as this am.
going to take it easy the next few days.
the bad is some faker yet again scraped their bag or roller bag against my GTI's rear bumper at work.
WTF mang!
this is another reason why i NEVER take my STI or R to work.
its bad enough i have a car i like getting raped while im not looking.
im going to place my gopro on the rear deck and let it record while parked.

k got the tracking number for the sparco pedals. also bought a thick sheet of plastic to use as spacer under the pedal cover. will need to cut and bend to shape.
probably best to slit it to width first, bend using a heatgun, then cut to size.. just thinking out loud.
